Nick David and Jack Flynn were invited to the beautiful island of Lewis and Harris in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides to make a short film for The Harris Tweed Authority.
You can see the film here at The Big Cloth
‘We tell the story from the Cheviot and Scottish Blackface sheep to the weavers and mills, the wool dyers and blenders, the yarn spinners and warpers and finally to the cloth finishers and stampers’.
It’s a celebration of an island community, it’s local traditions and the people that make Harris Tweed so special.
Documenting this unique story was a fantastic opportunity to shoot some beautiful footage and get an insight into the making of this timeless, classic textile.
‘The film will be used for online digital marketing, making it a really effective way to communicate brand stories to a global audience.’
