SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA — SPIRIT HOUSE MAKERS
While near Angkor Wat, Cambodia, I came across a small roadside workshop making rean tevoda — traditional Cambodian spirit houses. I was drawn to the people working there and the practical, often dusty environment around them, with spirit houses at different stages of construction alongside the tools and materials used to make them.
The spirit houses were assembled from moulded sections and finished by hand, with details added to the surfaces before being painted, often in bright colours and gold. I spent time photographing the artisans as they worked, along with the spirit houses and details of the workshop.
Around the area, I also came across open yards filled with Buddha statues, some painted bright gold and catching the evening sun. I made a couple of portraits of local children riding their bikes home from school, as well as photographs of a traditional Khmer guardian lion statue being carved and sanded by an artisan in an outdoor workspace.
Together, the photographs offer a glimpse of the people, working spaces and religious sculptures I encountered around Angkor Wat.

SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA — PORTRAITS FROM A TEMPLE
While in Siem Reap, Cambodia, I spent some time visiting a community of novice monks and photographing them around the temple.
Known as sāmaṇera, novice monks are young boys and teenagers who enter the Buddhist monastic community and receive training in Theravada Buddhism. For some, becoming a novice is a short-term part of their religious life, while others may go on to become fully ordained monks.
I was interested in making natural portraits and capturing something of their personalities rather than creating formal or posed images. There was a real openness to the young monks, and some of the best photographs came from simple, unguarded moments.
One of the monks had arrived at the temple that same day. When I arrived, he was having his head shaved as part of becoming a novice. I photographed the process and some of the quieter moments around it, before making a few portraits afterwards.
It was a great experience to be welcomed into the community and spend time with the monks. The photographs are a small record of that time — simple portraits and moments of everyday life around the temple.

In the back alleys of Ward 12, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City, a cluster of workshops has been making religious and Buddha statues for close to a hundred years. Generations of craftspeople have worked here, and the area has become known for the trade.
I went to photograph the people working in these spaces and the environments around them — busy, cluttered places, with statues in various stages of completion alongside the tools and materials of the trade.
My interest was in the craftspeople and their work, rather than simply the finished statues. I wanted to photograph them as I found them, surrounded by the statues, tools and materials of the workshop.
It was a real privilege to be given access and to spend time photographing the people and their working environments.

At the high elevations of Đà Lạt, Vietnam, the cool climate makes the region well suited to growing flowers and vegetables. The surrounding hills are home to a network of greenhouses, from small locally built structures to large modern poly-greenhouses.
I visited Đà Lạt to photograph the growers and the environments in which they work. Inside the greenhouses, rows of flowers are carefully grown and tended, with people working through the different stages of planting, growing and harvesting.
I was interested in photographing the growers within these spaces and getting a sense of their everyday working lives. Alongside the portraits, I photographed the greenhouses, flowers and some of the details of everyday work.
It was a great experience to gain access to these working spaces and spend time photographing the people behind Đà Lạt’s flower-growing industry.

KAMPONG PHLUK — PEOPLE, COMMUNITY AND CELEBRATION IN CAMBODIA
This series of portraits from Kampong Phluk, Cambodia, was recently featured in ArtDoc Photography Magazine’s Being Human edition, Issue #3, 2026 — a collection exploring shared humanity across different cultures and communities.
These portraits were made during a wedding celebration in Kampong Phluk, a stilted fishing community on the floodplain of Tonlé Sap Lake in Cambodia's Siem Reap Province.
Rather than documenting the wedding itself, I was drawn to the people who make up the community — their expressions, gestures and brief moments of connection as the celebrations unfolded around them.
Made throughout the village, the series captures people of all ages in the streets, homes and communal spaces of Kampong Phluk.
The work is about community and belonging, and the familiar ways in which people come together to mark important moments — wherever they are in the world.

Shot in a natural, documentary style, we focused on real moments between NatWest and the airport’s leadership team, capturing conversations, collaboration, and the working relationship behind major infrastructure development and growth.
The aim was to reflect a trusted, long-term partnership and the role of financial support in helping the airport continue to evolve and expand.
The work forms part of NatWest’s ‘Succeeding with customers’ story, highlighting how close collaboration helps businesses deliver real-world impact.

Photography and video for NatWest’s 2025 annual report, focused on the work with Intotum, a fashion start-up creating stylish, functional clothing for the disabled community.
Shot in a natural, documentary style, we focused on real moments between the business and the NatWest team, showing how the relationship has supported Intotum’s journey from the Accelerator programme through to becoming an established customer.
Intotum was founded to bridge the gap between function and fashion, with a clear aim to give greater independence and individuality to disabled people through adaptive clothing.
The work forms part of NatWest’s ‘Succeeding with customers’ story, highlighting purpose-led businesses and the support that helps them grow with confidence.

For NatWest’s 2025 annual report and climate transition reporting, we travelled to document the partnership with Firth Farming on location.
Working in a natural, observational style, we focused on capturing real moments between the farm and NatWest team, showing how the relationship has supported the farm’s evolution into an organic enterprise.
As a photographer, the emphasis was on authentic interaction and quiet, unforced moments that reflect trust, collaboration, and long-term support.
The stills and film are being used across the annual report, campaign assets, and digital channels, supporting the theme of ‘Succeeding with customers’ and NatWest’s role in helping agricultural businesses grow sustainably.

Photography and video commission for NatWest’s 2025 annual report, shot on location in Manchester with EV charging network Be.EV.
The project focused on capturing a real case study that illustrates NatWest’s role as a trusted financial partner, supporting Be.EV’s rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the UK.
Working in a natural, documentary style, we photographed and filmed candid moments of collaboration between the NatWest team and Be.EV leadership.
Created for print, digital, and colleague communications, the imagery uses authentic storytelling to highlight partnership, innovation, and how NatWest supports customers as they grow and invest in the future.

NATWEST ANNUAL REPORT PHOTOGRAPHY – ORKNEY ISLANDS SHOOT
A corporate photography shoot for NatWest’s annual reporting and communications, documenting The Flying Branches initiative on the islands of Kirkwall and Westray in Scotland.
The project followed a NatWest advisor travelling from mainland Scotland to meet customers in person, highlighting the bank’s commitment to regionality and community connection.
Using authentic storytelling and real case study moments, the imagery captures genuine interactions between the advisor and customers.
Shot in a natural, documentary style, the focus is on the importance of human connection in banking.
The resulting photography presents a unique, real-world example of NatWest supporting customers in their day-to-day financial lives, even in some of the most remote communities in the UK.

For the latest brief for NatWest’s 2025 annual report, we photographed and filmed Olympic boxing medallist Lewis Richardson at home and in the gym.
The project focused on capturing candid, natural images that reflect the role financial planning can play in helping people manage their careers, ambitions, and life beyond sport.
Working in a documentary style, we photographed Lewis in conversation with his NatWest financial advisors, alongside training scenes that highlight the dedication and discipline behind his success.
The visuals use authentic storytelling to show how financial services play a role in everyday life.

The project focused on authentic moments throughout the school day, documenting classroom learning, social interaction, and everyday routines in a natural and observational way.
Shot on location within a real school environment, the aim was to create relatable, people-focused imagery that reflects modern education and student life.
From lessons and group activities to quieter in-between moments, the resulting images form a genuine portrait of young people within today’s school communities.

A documentary-style photography shoot for Pets As Therapy, a UK charity of pet owners and therapy animals bringing comfort and joy to people in hospitals, care homes, schools, and more.
Commissioned by branding agency Red Stone, the project focused on capturing authentic moments during a care home visit.
The aim was to document how therapy dogs support residents’ wellbeing, highlighting natural, unscripted moments of connection and companionship.
Shot in a reportage style, the imagery avoids staged setups, instead focusing on real interactions.
The resulting images support a wider branding campaign, showcasing the positive impact of animals in care environments.

Working with the Getty Images creative team, this senior lifestyle photography project was shot across coastal and city environments in North East England, exploring themes of friendship, connection, and everyday life.
The project began along the coastline before transitioning into urban city spaces, using contrasting environments to create a natural visual narrative. The openness of the coast and the structure of the city provided a dynamic backdrop for capturing authentic, unscripted interactions between friends.
Using a documentary-style approach, the imagery focuses on real moments of connection, resulting in contemporary lifestyle photography that feels natural and authentic.

WORKING WITH THE PORTAL TRUST – EDUCATION PHOTOGRAPHY SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE
A charity photography commission for The Portal Trust, produced with Red Stone, this project was shot at The Aldgate School in London—the only state-maintained primary school in the City of London.
Focusing on a school music class, the brief was to capture real moments of teaching, learning, and creative expression. Shot in a natural, reportage style, the aim was to reflect everyday classroom interaction rather than staged scenes.
From group performance to quieter moments of focus, the images capture the energy and collaboration of the class, forming an honest record of school life in London.

WORKING WITH THE DOVE SELF-ESTEEM PROJECT – SHOOTING ON LOCATION IN SOUTH EAST LONDON
For over 20 years, the Self-Esteem Project has worked with parents, teachers, and communities to share body confidence and self-esteem resources with young people worldwide.
This photography project was developed with the Getty Images creative teams in the US and UK, with additional support from Dove, and shot on location in real school environments. The focus was on capturing authentic moments of young people outdoors.
Scenes were lightly directed to encourage movement, interaction, and play, allowing natural energy and expression to come through. The result is a series of lifestyle images that reflect confidence, positivity, and real connection, supporting global campaigns around youth wellbeing and self-esteem.
