LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT ON THE NORTH EAST COAST OF ENGLAND
Working with the Getty Images creative team, this senior lifestyle photography project was shot across coastal and city environments in North East England, exploring themes of friendship, connection, and everyday life.
The project began along the coastline before transitioning into urban city spaces, using contrasting environments to create a natural visual narrative. The openness of the coast and the structure of the city provided a dynamic backdrop for capturing authentic, unscripted interactions between friends.
Using a documentary-style approach, the imagery focuses on real moments of movement and connection, resulting in contemporary lifestyle photography that feels grounded, relatable, and modern.
LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY FOR MORDEN COLLEGE – CAPTURING LIFE AND COMMUNITY
As part of a brand refresh for Morden College, I was commissioned to create a new image library across two South East London senior independent living sites, focusing on everyday life and community.
Shot over two days in a reportage style, the project captured real, unscripted moments rather than staged scenes.
The aim was to reflect the authenticity of daily life—interactions between residents, shared spaces, and the natural rhythm of routines.
From social activity to quieter moments, the images form an honest and respectful portrait of independent living, shaped by connection, familiarity, and place.
WORKING WITH THE PORTAL TRUST – EDUCATION PHOTOGRAPHY SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE
A charity photography commission for The Portal Trust, produced with Red Stone, this project was shot at The Aldgate School in London—the only state-maintained primary school in the City of London.
Focusing on a school music class, the brief was to capture real moments of teaching, learning, and creative expression. Shot in a natural, reportage style, the aim was to reflect everyday classroom interaction rather than staged scenes.
From group performance to quieter moments of focus, the images capture the energy and collaboration of the class, forming an honest record of school life in London.
WORKING WITH THE DOVE SELF-ESTEEM PROJECT – SHOOTING ON LOCATION IN SOUTH EAST LONDON
For over 20 years, the Self-Esteem Project has worked with parents, teachers, and communities to share body confidence and self-esteem resources with young people worldwide.
This photography project was developed with the Getty Images creative teams in the US and UK, with additional support from Dove, and shot on location in real school environments. The focus was on capturing authentic moments of young people outdoors.
Scenes were lightly directed to encourage movement, interaction, and play, allowing natural energy and expression to come through. The result is a series of lifestyle images that reflect confidence, positivity, and real connection, supporting global campaigns around youth wellbeing and self-esteem.
PLEASED TO BE SELECTED AS A FINALIST FOR THE AOP 40TH ANNUAL AWARDS IN THE ENVIRONMENT CATEGORY
The series also includes additional travel photography from Chefchaouen, Morocco—known as the Blue Pearl—where the striking blue-washed streets create a unique visual rhythm of colour and geometry.
Alongside this, the project offers a snapshot of everyday life across Morocco’s streets, capturing candid moments of daily activity, culture, and connection within a vibrant and dynamic environment.
FACES OF CASABLANCA FISHING PORT: AN INTIMATE LOOK AT MOROCCO’S FISHERMEN
Step into the daily lives of Morocco’s fishermen at Casablanca Fishing Port, where this documentary photography series captures portraits and working moments from one of the city’s most active coastal hubs.
Focused on real people and everyday activity, the work highlights fishermen at rest, in conversation, and within the rhythm of their daily routines.
The portraits and environmental scenes together reveal the character and identity behind the industry, offering an authentic glimpse into the community, culture, and coastal life that defines the port.
INSIDE THE TANNERIES OF MOROCCO - EXPLORING CRAFT AND CULTURE
Guided by generous locals, I had the rare privilege of exploring the traditional leather tanneries, gaining insight into one of Morocco’s oldest working crafts.
Meeting the men who labour there revealed a deep sense of pride in their skills and daily achievements, despite the physically demanding and challenging conditions.
The experience offered an honest look into the reality of their work, highlighting both the resilience of the workers and the enduring traditions that continue to shape the industry today.
EL JADIDA CITY OF THE HORSE - A PHOTO ESSAY FROM MOROCCO
A visit to the Atlantic Coast to shoot portraits of local riders, capturing them within their natural environment along the shoreline and surrounding landscapes.
The focus was on creating authentic, character-led portraits that reflect both their connection to the horses and the coastal setting they work and train in.
I’m really pleased that a selection of these images will be featured in this year’s AOP 40th Awards Documentary Category.
CASE STUDY PHOTOGRAPHY – ON LOCATION FOR BRANDING AGENCY DENTSU
The latest case study for St. James’s Place Financial Services focused on capturing everyday life and personal interests as part of a customer story for their website, working across both stills and video.
The shoot documented real moments centred around hobbies and daily routines, highlighting the individual’s lifestyle beyond financial planning. From leisure activities to quieter everyday scenes, the aim was to create an authentic and relatable portrait.
Shot in a documentary style, the content forms a cohesive set of imagery and motion assets designed to support the case study narrative across St. James’s Place digital platforms.
STUDIO SHOOT FOR METRO BANK COMMISSIONED BY RE DESIGN
A studio-based brand portrait shoot capturing Metro Bank employees, focused on creating a series of positive, uplifting images.
Working in a studio environment allowed for a consistent, clean visual style while keeping the approach natural and relaxed.
The aim was to capture confident, approachable portraits that reflect the personality and energy of the people behind the brand.
By observing and capturing moments as they naturally unfolded, the resulting images feel authentic, professional, and aligned with Metro Bank’s brand identity.
CORPORATE PHOTOSHOOT AT NATWEST’S HEADQUARTERS IN THE CITY OF LONDON
Capturing NatWest employees at their head office on Liverpool Street and at a local high street branch, this shoot focused on creating informal imagery for their annual report.
Working across both corporate and customer-facing environments, the aim was to reflect the day-to-day experience of employees in a natural and relatable way.
Using a documentary-style approach, the images capture real moments as they unfolded—conversations, interactions, and the rhythm of working life.
The result is a series of honest, approachable images that balance professionalism with personality, helping to support NatWest’s annual report with authentic, people-focused visual storytelling.
NATWEST ANNUAL REPORT CASE STUDY PHOTOGRAPHY
More reportage-style corporate photography for NatWest’s annual and sustainability reports, photographed on location with the NatWest team at a high-voltage substation in the Midlands.
The shoot focused on documenting real working environments and the people behind essential UK infrastructure.
Using a natural, observational approach, the images capture everyday activity on site—process, interaction, and scale within an operational setting.
The result is a series of authentic corporate images supporting NatWest’s wider storytelling around energy, infrastructure, and responsibility.
CASE STUDY PHOTOGRAPHY – NATWEST CUSTOMER INNOVATION STORIES
We travelled to Bristol to photograph Open Bionics, a prosthetics manufacturer, capturing a mix of workplace imagery and client-facing moments.
The shoot documented the environment, process, and people behind the business, highlighting innovation and collaboration within the studio and production space.
Alongside this, we also captured a NatWest advisor meeting with their client, showing real interactions in a natural setting.
The result is a cohesive set of reportage-style images that support NatWest’s case study storytelling across business, innovation, and client relationships.
CORPORATE SHOOT FOR NATWEST SUSTAINABILITY REPORT – FIRSTGROUP PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Capturing portraits and people at work for NatWest’s sustainability report, this corporate shoot documents FirstGroup’s progress towards a zero-emission bus fleet by 2035.
Working on location in York, the focus was on photographing real people in their working environment, alongside wider operational and transport infrastructure.
The aim was to create a series of authentic, reportage-style images that reflect both the scale of the project and the individuals involved in delivering it.
From environmental portraits to working moments, the imagery supports NatWest’s sustainability storytelling through honest, people-focused corporate photography.
WE HEAD NORTH TO SCOTLAND FOR THE LATEST PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO SHOOT FOR NATWEST
Shooting on location in Glasgow and Edinburgh with the NatWest team, we captured a mix of photography and video for M Squared, a commercial landscape company.
The work combined documentary-style coverage of the team at work with client-facing moments, including NatWest advisors meeting with M Squared.
The aim was to create authentic, natural imagery that reflects both the working environment on site and the collaborative relationship between business and banking support.
The result is a cohesive set of stills and motion content supporting NatWest’s corporate storytelling across Scotland.
FOCUSING ON MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES FOR TECH START UPS WITH NATWEST BANKING
Latest corporate photography shoot for NatWest Banking, captured on location in Manchester and commissioned by BlackSun.
The project focused on mentoring opportunities for tech start-ups, documenting real moments of collaboration, discussion, and support within NatWest’s business mentoring programme.
Working in a natural, documentary style, the aim was to create authentic imagery that reflects the energy of the start-up environment and NatWest’s role in supporting innovation and growth.
The shoot combined environmental portraits with candid working moments, forming a cohesive set of corporate photography for use across digital and marketing platforms.
NATWEST LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY – CORPORATE AND CUSTOMER STORIES
Corporate photography for NatWest’s annual report, capturing a story around financial education for young families.
The shoot took place at home with a mum and her two children, focusing on everyday moments and the use of new technology designed to help children learn about money in a simple, accessible way.
Alongside this, we also photographed in a NatWest branch, capturing hands-on advising and real customer interactions.
Working in a natural, documentary style, the imagery combines at-home lifestyle scenes with in-branch corporate photography to create an authentic narrative around financial guidance, education, and support for families.
SURF’S UP – BODYBOARD WORKSHOP PHOTOGRAPHY IN CORNWALL
We head down to Newquay in Cornwall to photograph a small workshop still making traditional bodyboards the old-school way.
The focus was on capturing the craft, process, and people behind the boards, documenting a hands-on approach that has remained largely unchanged over time.
Working in a natural, documentary style, the shoot highlights the workshop environment, detailing the tools, materials, and techniques involved in shaping each board.
The resulting imagery offers an authentic look at independent craftsmanship and surf culture on the Cornish coast.
SUSTAINABLE FASHION STORY WITH HOMELESS CHARITY CRISIS
A community photography shoot in Dalston, East London, exploring how local initiatives raise funds for charities while offering an ethical way to shop for clothing.
The project was created in collaboration with Crisis, documenting real moments of people engaging with a charity retail space and highlighting the role of second-hand fashion in supporting community fundraising.
Shot in a natural, documentary style, the imagery captures everyday interactions, browsing, and connection, reflecting the growing importance of sustainable and community-led retail in London.
